Pupil Roles
Our Academy Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
What do the Academy Council do?
- Listen to the views and concerns of other pupils
- Think of ideas that will help to improve aspects of the school and make decisions
- Think about how we can contribute locally and globally
- Fundraise for the school and local community
- Make sure the school is a happy and safe place
- Encourage all children to make suggestions and act upon them where appropriate

Each class from Year 1 – 5 has two representatives and 4 in Year 6.

What are the duties of a pupil banker?
- Help in the bank at set times agreed with the chief banker.
- Help other pupils add their Lindcoins into the computer system.
- Deduct Lindcoins when pupils spend their Lindens at the shop.
- Support Mrs Yates with managing the Bank.
What qualities will I need?
- Good communication skills
- Accurate timekeeping
- Organised
- Hard-working
- Good with numbers.

What are the duties of a Digital Ambassador?
- Raise and improve the profile and understanding of online safety
- Provide advice and information to other children on e-safety
- Support teachers with digital tasks, like setting up equipment and troubleshooting
What qualities will I need?
- A good understanding of computing and technology
- A good knowledge of age-appropriate games and apps
- A calm nature
- Be responsible and sensible
- Be a positive role model
Details of the job
Digital Ambassador duties are weekly, during the school day. They will work alongside Mr Keight to ensure that the technology within the school is kept neat and charged, ready for lessons.

What are the duties of a House Captain?
- To motivate, support and encourage their housemates to try their best.
- To support SLT during our Value Assemblies.
- To support annual Sports Day Events.
What qualities will I need?

- Be hard-working, resilient, and optimistic
- Good leadership skills
- Be a good role model to other peers
- Be able to follow instructions

What are the duties of a pupil librarian?
- Help in the library at set times agreed with the librarian.
- Shelve non-fiction books into subjects e.g. Science, Geography, Music etc…
- Ensure the books have the spine facing outwards
- Ensure the books are returned to the correct place
- Help other pupils find what books they are looking for
- Ensure any damaged or ripped books are removed from the shelves and passed to Miss Price

What are the duties of a mental health hero?

Children in Year 3- 6 have the opportunity to interview to be a Lindens 'Wellbeing Ambassadors'. The children wear Yellow lanyards, carry a notepad and pen and have support prompt cards to support other pupils on the EY, KS1 & KS2 playground who may be:
- upset
- worried
- anxious
- angry
- lonely
Sometimes children may just need to talk to someone else.
Details of the job
- Mental health hero duties once a week – when needed.
- Meetings with the mental health lead to discuss issues in the Academy and initiative.

What are the duties of a Postie?
- To collect and organise all post delivered to Lindens Academy
- To ensure post is delivered to staff across the academy in a sensible and timely manner
